Acton Calls for Volunteers to Paint Sustainability Mural

ACTON — Acton is recruiting residents this week to help paint the town's Sustainability Mural, one of several conservation and civic pushes the town promoted going into the weekend, alongside a call for volunteers at the Red House Conservation Project's BioBlitz.

TOWN HALL

The town's Conservation Division is inviting residents of all ages to the Red House BioBlitz, an outdoor event at the Red House Conservation Project that asks volunteers to help explore and document the plants, insects, birds and other wildlife found on the property. The town promoted the event as part of its ongoing conservation-land programming; specific dates and registration details were not included in the announcement, and residents can check the town's website for updates.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

Acton is asking residents to grab a paintbrush and help complete the Acton Sustainability Mural, a public art project tied to the town's environmental initiatives. The town's announcement framed the workshop as a hands-on way for residents to contribute directly to a piece of civic art.
