Acton closes most town offices Friday; library and Transfer Station remain open

Friday, July 3 — Most town offices and non-emergency services are closed today in observance of Independence Day weekend. Acton Memorial Library and the Transfer Station are open Friday on their regular schedules but will be closed Saturday, July 4.

Friday, July 3 — Acton Memorial Library is closed today and Saturday, July 4, in observance of the holiday. Regular hours resume Monday, July 7.

Thursday, July 2 (recap) — Acton's Independence Day Celebration took place Thursday evening at NARA Park, opening at 4 p.m. with food vendors, inflatables, free beach access, and lawn games. Live music started at 8 p.m., followed by a laser light show — all free and open to the public.

Coming up — Saturday, July 4 — The Funktones will perform a free July 4th concert indoors from 6 to 9:30 p.m., per the Acton Patch events calendar. https://patch.com/massachusetts/acton

Coming up — Monday, July 6 — The Select Board meets Monday evening. A Finance Committee subcommittee also convenes that day; both meetings return Acton to its regular municipal schedule after the holiday weekend.

Coming up — Tuesday, July 7 — The Zoning Board of Appeals holds its regular meeting, with a time-extension hearing on case ZBAV-26-02 also on the agenda.

Coming up — Wednesday, July 8 — The Historical Commission meets Wednesday evening.
