Acton closes town offices and library for Independence Day weekend

Saturday, July 4 — Acton Memorial Library is closed today in observance of Independence Day. The library was also closed Friday, July 3. Regular hours — Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. — resume Monday, July 7.

Saturday, July 4 — Town offices and most non-emergency municipal services remain closed for the Independence Day holiday weekend. The Transfer Station, which was open Friday, is also closed today, per the town's corrected holiday service update.

Saturday, July 4, 6 p.m. — The Funktones are performing a free Independence Day concert indoors from 6 to 9:30 p.m., per the Acton Patch community calendar. https://patch.com/massachusetts/acton

Coming up — Monday, July 6 — The Select Board meets Monday evening. A Finance Committee subcommittee meeting is also scheduled for the same day.
