COMMUNITY & ARTS
Acton Public Library's summer slate keeps expanding. On Wednesday, July 29, the library hosts "All Ages Hamilton Karaoke (Pt. 2 by demand)" as part of its America 250 programming, inviting residents to sing, cosplay and celebrate on the library patio, weather permitting. That same day, the library's Compassion-Knits group meets to knit and crochet items for donation to charity, with needles, yarn and patterns supplied for anyone who wants to join.
The library's weekly Peace Crane Folding sessions continue Thursdays, with volunteers working toward a goal of 1,000 origami peace cranes that will ultimately be donated to a charity the group selects. Younger residents have their own slate of programming too, including a Dungeons & Dragons summer club for ages 12 and up and a Tuesday "America 250 Storytime" series built around stories of people who helped shape the nation.
