Acton Posts Heat, Smoke Advisories as Region Copes With Haze

Smoke drifting south from wildfires in Ontario returned to clear morning skies over Massachusetts this week, prompting more than 30 beach closures statewide and leading Acton officials to post extreme-heat resources for residents as the town settled into a quiet midsummer stretch.

TOWN HALL

The town's website added a page of resources for residents during the current stretch of extreme heat, timed to a run of hot, hazy weather across the region. Separately, the town confirmed that Kids Concert Night at NARA Park, featuring Ben Rudnick & Friends, has been postponed; a makeup date will be scheduled later this season.
