The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Acton Police Department's official public log for the period May 1–8, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).
Friday, May 1, 9:02 a.m. — Larceny: A larceny of a check was reported at the 90 block of Powdermill Road.
Friday, May 1, 2:46 p.m. — Shoplifting/Arrest: A man was located and summoned after leaving a Massachusetts Avenue business without paying for merchandise. Samuel Mott Brown, 39, of Concord, was charged with shoplifting by asportation.
Friday, May 1, 4:45 p.m. — Disturbance: A resident reported property missing from an apartment she was in the process of vacating on the 1800 block of Parker Street.
Friday, May 1, 5:20 p.m. — Suspicious Activity: Back doors to Town Hall on Main Street were found unsecured; officers made contact with workers inside and secured the building.
Friday, May 1, 7:07 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A motor vehicle struck a deer near the intersection of Main Street and Coughlin Street.
Friday, May 1, 11:39 p.m. — Suspicious Activity: An anonymous caller reported overhearing a female party threaten to crash her SUV near Parker Street and School Street; the area was checked and nothing was found.
Saturday, May 2, 12:54 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A minor two-vehicle property-damage crash was reported near the 4700 block of Main Street.
Saturday, May 2, 3:56 p.m. — Arrest — Operating Under the Influence: A female operator was observed appearing intoxicated while getting into her car with a young child on Massachusetts Avenue; she was arrested and two children were transported to the station until their father arrived. Amanda Aigler Wadsworth, 39, of Westford, was charged with child endangerment while Operating Under the Influence of Liquor (subsequent offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and Operating Under the Influence of Liquor or .08%, second offense.
Saturday, May 2, 7:26 p.m. — Vehicle Fire: A vehicle fire was reported on Massachusetts Avenue; no fire was found upon arrival.
Sunday, May 3, 12:04 a.m. — Disturbance: A male party was reported yelling and chasing someone out of a building on Strawberry Hill Road; officers spoke with him and filed a report.
Sunday, May 3, 10:48 a.m. — Vandalism: A vandalized lawn sign was reported on Wachusett Drive.
Sunday, May 3, 2:51 p.m. — Threatening: A construction crew member was reported to have threatened a resident near Main Street.
Sunday, May 3, 11:02 p.m. — Suspicious Activity: A person in a black hoodie was reported possibly entering wooded area near Hosmer Street; officers checked the area and found no one.
Monday, May 4, 4:43 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A vehicle struck the median on Massachusetts Avenue with no injuries reported.
Monday, May 4, 12:58 p.m. — Suspicious Activity: A woman at Ice House Pond parking lot on Concord Road reported being harassed by a female party from a prior incident at the same location.
Monday, May 4, 8:56 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A motor vehicle crash with possible injuries was reported at Route 2 westbound and Taylor Road; one vehicle was towed and a patient refusal was obtained.
Monday, May 4, 11:47 a.m. — Disturbance: An argument between a business owner and a car buyer on Great Road was reported; two 911 calls were received from both parties.
Monday, May 4, 6:21 p.m. — Arrest — Motor Vehicle: A motor vehicle stop on Route 2 westbound resulted in an arrest. Sean D. Paton, 35, of Leominster, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating without a valid inspection sticker.
Tuesday, May 5, 8:56 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A crash with possible injuries was reported at Route 2 westbound and Taylor Road; one vehicle was towed and a patient refusal was obtained.
Tuesday, May 5, 4:01 p.m. — Road Closure — Tree Down: A tree came down across Hosmer Street, closing the road between Whittier Drive and Forest Road; the tree was subsequently removed.
Tuesday, May 5, 5:29 p.m. — Wires Down — Road Closed: A tree fell on primary electrical lines on Pope Road, causing arcing; the road was closed and Eversource responded to the scene.
Tuesday, May 5, 5:36 p.m. — Traffic Hazard: A tree branch was reported on wires on Partridge Pond Road, blocking the roadway; the area was taped off and the tree warden was notified.
Tuesday, May 5, 5:07 p.m., 5:29 p.m., 6:05–6:36 p.m. — Wires and Traffic Hazards: Wire and low-hanging wire hazards were reported on Foster Street, Parker Street near School Street, and Hayward Road amid weather-driven conditions; utilities and authorities responded.
Wednesday, May 6, 7:15 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A minor two-vehicle property-damage crash was reported near the 1996 block of Massachusetts Avenue.
Wednesday, May 6, 2:49 p.m. — Larceny: A larceny report was taken at the 3419 block of Massachusetts Avenue.
Wednesday, May 6, 3:15 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A crash involving a mini school bus and a minivan was reported on Route 2 eastbound.
Wednesday, May 6, 3:39 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A past motor vehicle crash was reported near the intersection of Main Street and Great Road.
Wednesday, May 6, 6:28 p.m. — Lost/Found Property: A wallet was turned in to police after being found on a vehicle on Arlington Street; contact was made with adults at the owner's address.
Wednesday, May 6, 6:40 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: Damage was reported to a police cruiser on Main Street.
Thursday, May 7, 9:56 a.m. — Assist Other Agency: New Jersey State Police contacted Acton police seeking to reach a male party at a Powdermill Road address in connection with a hit-and-run in New Jersey; the party was not present and a coworker was asked to relay the message.
Thursday, May 7, 11:39 a.m. — Disturbance: A fight broke out in the front lobby of a Charter Road school; no injuries were reported and the school handled the matter.
Thursday, May 7, 12:15 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A male driver crashed his car into a tree on Windsor Avenue near Central Street and left the scene on foot; a report was filed.
