The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Acton Police Department's official public log for the period July 24–31, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).


Friday, July 24, 6:51 a.m.Motor Vehicle Collision: A collision of unknown injury status was reported on Pope Road; one party was transported.

Friday, July 24, 12:34 p.m.Motor Vehicle Collision: A property-damage-only crash was reported on Piper Road at School Street.

Friday, July 24, 4:02 p.m.Traffic Hazard: A traffic hazard was addressed on Brucewood Road.

Saturday, July 25, 10:38 a.m.Larceny/Fraud: A larceny, forgery, or fraud complaint was reported on Great Road.

Saturday, July 25, 11:05 a.m.Trespassing: A trespassing complaint was addressed on Great Road.

Saturday, July 25, 4:27 p.m.Motor Vehicle Collision: A collision of unknown injury status was reported on Route 2 eastbound; the matter was referred to another agency.

Saturday, July 25, 4:22 p.m.Arrest: Officers served a warrant on Hosmer Street. Chance Shidelle Adkins, 31, of Decatur, AL, was charged with warrant arrest on behalf of another agency and fugitive from justice on a court warrant.

Sunday, July 26, 8:14 a.m.Motor Vehicle Stop: A citation was issued on Ledge Rock Way.

Sunday, July 26, 8:48 a.m.Disturbance: A disturbance was reported on Great Road.

Sunday, July 26, 11:09 a.m.Arrest: Officers responded to a suspicious activity call on Nagog Park Drive. Matthew James Cheng, 34, of Woburn, was charged with disturbing the peace, disturbing a religious service, and assault and battery on a person 60 or older or a disabled person.

Sunday, July 26, 12:37 p.m.Motor Vehicle Vandalism: A report of car vandalism was filed on Avalon Drive.

Sunday, July 26, 2:50 p.m.Illegal Dumping: A report of illegal dumping was filed on Parker Street.

Sunday, July 26, 7:26 p.m.Arrest: A motor vehicle stop on Route 2 westbound resulted in an arrest. Arun Koul, 60, of Andover, was charged with Operating Under the Influence of Liquor or .08%, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and a marked lanes violation.

Monday, July 27, 7:31 a.m.Motor Vehicle Collision: A property-damage-only crash with a fire department response was reported on Great Road at Harris Street.

Monday, July 27, 8:41 a.m.Arrest: Officers served a warrant on Parker Street. An-Dan Thi, 64, of Acton, was charged with warrant arrest on behalf of another agency.

Monday, July 27, 8:44 a.m.Motor Vehicle Collision: A property-damage-only crash was reported on Nagog Park Drive at Great Road.

Monday, July 27, 12:07 p.m.Larceny/Fraud: A larceny, forgery, or fraud investigation was opened on Hosmer Street.

Monday, July 27, 3:42 p.m.Arrest: A motor vehicle stop on Route 2 westbound at Taylor Road resulted in an arrest. Hengels Montas Acosta, 24, of Clinton, was charged with warrant arrest on behalf of another agency.

Monday, July 27, 12:50 p.m.Motor Vehicle Collision: A property-damage-only crash was reported on Powdermill Road.

Monday, July 27, 9:01 p.m.Disturbance: A disturbance was reported on Great Elm Way.

Monday, July 27, 11:29 p.m.Vandalism: A vandalism report was filed on Bromfield Road.

Monday, July 27, 11:33 p.m.Traffic Hazard: A traffic hazard was addressed on Charter Road at Hayward Road.

Tuesday, July 28, 11:52 a.m.Motor Vehicle Collision: A property-damage-only crash was reported on Central Street at Main Street.

Tuesday, July 28, 4:19 p.m.Erratic Operator: A report of an erratic motor vehicle operator was addressed on Great Road.

Tuesday, July 28, 4:47 p.m.Brush Fire: A brush fire on Ledge Rock Way was closed out as a fire department incident.

Wednesday, July 29, 9:51 a.m.Suspicious Activity: A suspicious activity report was filed on Hosmer Street.

Wednesday, July 29, 10:35 a.m.Hold-Up Alarm: A hold-up alarm on Central Street was addressed.

Thursday, July 30, 9:59 a.m.Fraud: A fraud report was filed on High Street.

Thursday, July 30, 7:58 a.m.Motor Vehicle Collision: A property-damage-only crash was reported on Nagog Park Drive.

Thursday, July 30, 8:27 a.m.Motor Vehicle Collision: A property-damage-only crash was reported on Skyline Drive.

Thursday, July 30, 2:14 p.m.Motor Vehicle Collision: A property-damage-only crash was reported on Great Road.

Thursday, July 30, 4:41 p.m.Wires Down: Wires were reported down on Beverly Road.

Thursday, July 30, 5:47 p.m.Larceny/Fraud: A larceny or fraud complaint was reported on Main Street.

Thursday, July 30, 9:55 p.m.Motor Vehicle Collision: A property-damage-only crash was reported on Robinwood Road.
