Select Board · Meeting of September 28, 2026

Acton's Select Board sunset the decade-old Kelly's Corner Steering Committee as the intersection rebuild nears completion. Public Works Director Dean A. Charter said the project is in its "punch list phase," with roughly 95 new street lights and fresh plantings going in over the coming weeks.

Vice Chair David D. Martin said traffic now clears the intersection in a single light cycle, down from as many as four during evening rush hour. The board also heard that Acton deer-vehicle collisions hit a record 14 in 2025, part of a presentation weighing the town's first bow-hunting deer management program, and opened a debate over whether to keep waiving sewer "privilege fees" for affordable housing projects.

Members separately approved a liquor license transfer for a new convenience store at 155 Great Road and voted to back Concord's bid for a regional transit planning board seat.
