School Committee · Meeting of June 4, 2026
ACTON — The Acton-Boxborough Regional School Committee voted to hire the Collins Center for Public Management over two cheaper rivals to lead its superintendent search. Members interviewed MASC, NESDEC and Collins before Adam moved to select Collins, seconded by Glenn, with Ben and Andrew Shen asked to confirm abstentions. Member Dennis downplayed the roughly $10,000 cost gap against a "$100 million budget," while member Andy called it "double the cost of what I'm hearing from MASC." The committee also re-elected Tori Campbell as chair for fiscal year 2027 with 16 of 21.5 weighted votes over member Adam, who was then elected Boxborough vice chair; member Lisa was elected Acton vice chair.
Members also approved revised enrollment and transportation policies, an amended Calibrant battery-storage agreement capped at $11,000 a year, and a consent agenda including $15,100 in donations to school programs.
