Select Board · Meeting of April 27, 2026
Acton Select Board approved a special permit for a Great Road trade-shop redevelopment after months of review. The board closed the Hawthorne Realty Company hearing for 465-471 Great Road, adopting findings 4-1 and approving the amended permit 4-1, with member Jim Snyder-Grant dissenting; conditions require an exit-only connection to Sachem Way and delivery hours limited to 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Member Alissa Nicol said "I was just concerned too because there are resident residences behind." The board also voted 5-0 to approve a seven-year, $128,351.76-a-year ambulance lease, with Deputy Town Manager Tom Bejan noting the deal funds equipment for a vehicle already under construction.
The meeting was Snyder-Grant's last after six years on the board.
